Bread Maker — Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 24, 2026. This policy covers the Bread Maker app for Android and Windows, made by Niagara Indie Apps. It applies to both editions: the one on Google Play and the one downloaded from niagaraindieapps.com. Bread Maker does not need an account, and its calculator, schedules, and timers work fully offline.

The recipes you save (ingredient percentages, names, and notes), your custom presets, the baking timers you start, and your settings (theme, language, weight and temperature units) are stored only in the app's storage on your device. The app does not upload them anywhere. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its data in your device settings, deletes them.

Bread Maker contains no advertising, no analytics, no crash-reporting services, and no cookies or advertising identifiers. It requests only the internet permission, which the website edition uses for the license calls described below.

The Google Play edition has no trial and no purchase flow, never contacts our servers, and does not use this website's checkout.

The edition downloaded from niagaraindieapps.com unlocks its Pro features (unlimited saved recipes, print, PDF, share, and backup and restore) for 3 days from the first time you open it. The rest of the app is free at all times. To run the trial, the app stores the time you first opened it, plus a random ID it creates, in the app's storage on your device. That ID is not a hardware, advertising, or Windows product ID. Nothing is sent to us during the trial.

After the trial, the website edition is unlocked with a license bought on this website. When you activate a license, the app sends the following to our license server at niagaraindieapps.com: • your license key • this app's ID • the random device ID described above • the platform (Android or Windows) and the app version When the app later re-checks the license while online, or when you remove a device, it sends only your license key and that device ID. Our server stores a one-way hash of the device ID, the platform, the app version, and when the device was activated and last checked. It also records the IP address of each license request in a license activity log. We use this only to verify your license, enforce its limit of 2 devices, and prevent license abuse. The server's reply is checked on your device with a digital signature, so the unlock keeps working offline. Your recipes, timers, and settings are never sent.

Website licenses are bought on niagaraindieapps.com. The information you give at checkout (such as your email address) is covered by the site-wide Privacy Policy at niagaraindieapps.com/privacy. Card payments are processed by Stripe, and we never receive your full card number.

Download backup creates a file with your saved recipes and settings and hands it to your device to save where you choose. Share passes a plain-text recipe to the app you pick. Print and Save as PDF use your device's print service. Each happens only when you tap its button.

Remove individual recipes and timers in the app, or clear all of its data in your device settings (Settings → Apps → Bread Maker → Storage → Clear data on Android). Uninstalling Bread Maker also deletes it. To free a device from your license, use Settings → Bread Maker Pro → Remove this device in the app, or niagaraindieapps.com/license/manage. To ask us to delete the license records we hold, contact us as described below.

Bread Maker is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If a future version of Bread Maker changes how it handles data, we will update this page before that version is released.
