Family Farm Manager — Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 9, 2026. This policy covers the Family Farm Manager app for Android and Windows, made by G. Thompson / Niagara Indie Apps. It applies to both editions: the one on Google Play and the one downloaded from niagaraindieapps.com. The app does not need an account, and its record-keeping features do not need an internet connection.

Your farm profile, land areas, soil tests, family members, animals and flocks, health records, egg records, feed records, crops, plantings, harvests, chores, calendar events, inventory, income, expenses, sales, pricing entries and settings are stored only on your device. The app does not upload any of this anywhere.

If your farm profile includes a location, the app asks the Open-Meteo weather service for a forecast so it can show weather and farm alerts on the dashboard. Only the location text you entered (and the coordinates Open-Meteo returns for it) is used for this request. No other farm data is sent. If you leave the location empty or are offline, no weather request is made and the rest of the app works as usual.

Family Farm Manager contains no advertising, no analytics, no crash-reporting services, and no location tracking. It does not read your contacts and does not use your camera or microphone.

Backup files and spreadsheet (CSV) exports are created only when you ask for them, and are saved to the place you choose. They contain your records, so keep them somewhere safe.

Both editions include a free 3-day trial of the complete app. To run it, the app stores the time you first opened it in your device's secure storage. The website edition also stores a random ID it creates when installed. That ID is not a hardware or advertising ID.

After the trial, the website edition is unlocked with a license bought on this website. When you activate a license, the app sends the following to our license server at niagaraindieapps.com: • your license key • this app's ID • the random device ID described above • the platform (Android or Windows) and the app version When the app later re-checks the license while online, or when you remove a device, it sends only your license key and that device ID. Our server stores a one-way hash of the device ID, the platform, the app version, and when the device was activated and last checked. It also records the IP address of each license request in a license activity log. We use this only to verify your license, enforce its limit of 2 devices, and prevent license abuse. Your farm, animal, crop, finance and other records are never sent.

After the trial, the Google Play edition is unlocked with a one-time purchase made through Google Play Billing. Google processes that payment under its own privacy policy; the app only learns whether the unlock has been bought. This edition never contacts our license server and we never receive your payment details.

Website licenses are bought on niagaraindieapps.com. The information you give at checkout (such as your email address) is covered by the site-wide Privacy Policy at niagaraindieapps.com/privacy. Card payments are processed by Stripe, and we never receive your full card number.

You can delete individual records in the app at any time, and remove the bundled sample farm under Settings → Data & Backup → Delete Sample Data. Uninstalling the app deletes the data it stored on your device. To free a device from your website license, use niagaraindieapps.com/license/manage. To ask us to delete the license records we hold, contact us as described below.

Family Farm Manager is a planning and record-keeping tool for families and is not directed at children. It does not collect personal information from anyone.
